Webinar Topic: The z/OS FTP Server and its Client and Server Exits
On August 4, 2020, DTS CTO Steve Pryor talked about File Transfer Protocol and DTS Software's Easy/Exit product. File transfer is a critical part of most z/OS production environments.
The z/OS FTP server (and its associated FTP client) is widely used to move data across internal z/OS systems as well as between z/OS and external systems. The z/OS FTP server has some unique capabilities and functions and an understanding of its details is important for efficient operation.
In this webinar, Pryor described the workings of z/OS FTP, including a special section on how the four Server exits and two Client exits can be used to tailor, improve, and secure your z/OS FTP environment. He also discussed how assembler programming in these exits can be automated and eliminated with DTS Software's Easy-Exit for the z/OS FTP Server.
